Why Study Business at CQUniversity

The Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Business dual degree enables you to broaden your skills, knowledge and career opportunities by completing both the Bachelor of Arts and the Bachelor of Business within four years of full-time study.  Within this program students choose one area of specialisation from the arts and business. Within the arts you may choose from specialisations includingAboriginal and Torres Strait Islander studies, geography and environmental studies, history, literary and cultural studies, psychology, sociology, welfare studies, and writing.  Within the business area you can select a specialisation in marketing, management, human resources management, information systems, procurement and supply or aviation technology.

Completing a dual degree allows you to design your degree to suit your individual needs and study goals.  For example, you may wish to combine the Bachelor of Business (Human Resources) with the Bachelor of Arts and study the psychology plan, giving you a greater understanding of not only organisational structures and performance management, but also of the human mind and reasoning behind people’s behaviours and actions.  Arts students may also benefit from the business degree by gaining an edge in terms of being able to not only work within the arts field but gaining the knowledge and skills to take on management roles within the area of arts.

The additional knowledge gained through the completion of dual degree programs gives you the additional skills which are highly sought after by employers. This program also increases your employment opportunities in additional areas of arts and business.

If you‘re studying the Bachelor of Business/Bachelor of Arts program, you may choose to exit the program early and may be eligible for the qualification of Diploma of Arts.
