This two and a half-year (full-time) and five-year (part-time) master degree provides you with a transition from vocational study to higher education studies. This program is designed for those who have completed a two year post-Year 12 qualification, (equivalent to an Australian diploma) wishing to undertake further study in the area of accounting. If you have not completed university this program provides you with an opportunity to study a masters program and move into careers within the accounting and finance fields. This master degree requires an additional six months study in comparison to the Master of Professional Accounting. Within the non-graduate program you will study 14 core courses and two electives in the areas of accounting and finance. The additional courses studied ensures that you graduate with the equivalent skills and knowledge to a student who has completed prior tertiary study and the masters program.
You may exit either of these programs after a specific number of courses are completed with a Graduate Certificate or Graduate Diploma of Professional Accounting qualifications.

For graduates looking to redirect their career, this program is for you. It is suitable for persons who are interested in employment in accounting and financial management orientated careers. Potential fields of employment include financial accounting, management accounting, taxation auditing, teaching finance, banking management, administration, consulting or business advisory services.
Students must complete 16 courses (128 units of credit) to graduate with the Master of Professional Accounting.
