The Master of Professional Accounting provides you with the skills and knowledge required to be successful when working in the finance or accounting fields. Theses programs focus on teaching the knowledge and skills in the areas of accounting, finance, computer software applications, economics, statistics, and business law. Upon completion of these programs you will havethe ability to undertake accounting analysis, research and provide advice.
The Master of Professional Accounting is aimed at those who have completed an undergraduate degree. It is suitable if you are interested in a career change and employment in accounting and financial management orientated careers. This two-year program (full-time) or three years (part-time) is offered both on-campus and by distance education. Within this program you will study 12 core courses in accounting in areas such as issues in financial accounting, auditing and ethical practice, Australian taxation law and economics for business.
Two exit awards are available including the Graduate Certificate in Professional Accounting and Graduate Diploma of Professional Accounting.

If you hold a degree accredited by, or if you are a member of, or eligible for membership of, CPA Australia or the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia, you must contact a Program Advisor prior to enrolling in this program.
For graduates looking to redirect their career, this program is for you. It is suitable for persons who are interested in employment in accounting and financial management orientated careers. Potential fields of employment include financial accounting, management accounting, taxation auditing, teaching finance, banking management, administration, consulting or business advisory services.
You are required to complete 12 core courses (96 units of credit) to graduate with the Master of Professional Accounting.

However, these organisations accredit each campus individually, so you should check the current status of accreditation for your desired study location.
