Master of Financial Management

If you are looking for a career working within international monetary markets and systems or providing risk analysis, foreign exchange risk management, multinational working capital management or foreign investment analysis, like the Graduate Diploma, only more extensive, this program provides the tools and knowledge to get you there.  Particular career focus areas are financial market analysis, banking, investment houses, government departments and financial brokering.

When completing the Master of Financial Management you will undertake the same five core courses as the graduate diploma, but you will study an additional four compulsory courses within the business, economics and accounting fields, and have the opportunity to study three elective courses from a range of business areas. The masters program gives you the additional knowledge and skills to further enhance your employment prospects.

This program is designed to suit specialists in accounting or finance, or professionals offering advice in these areas. The program content will provide you with the knowledge and analytical skills to address the financial management and decision making aspects of the organisation.

Entry Requirements

To gain entry to this program, you must have:

  •   a bachelor degree in any discipline from an Australian university or college with a grade point average acceptable to the Dean, or equivalent; or

  • a CQU Graduate Diploma in Financial Management, or equivalent.
