Master of Property Valuation

Develop and advance your knowledge and skills in property valuation with a specifically designed postgraduate Master of Property Valuation.  This postgraduate program has been developed in consultation with an industry advisory committee comprising representatives of CQUniversity and external professionals in valuation, legal, surveying, government, banking and real estate agencies. This ensures that our program is up-to-date and relevant to current industry practices.

Like the Graduate Diploma, the Master of Property Valuation is designed to facilitate an understanding of urban property valuation and market analysis.   The program will provide you with a solid starting point for a career in property valuation and market analysis and is appropriate for those seeking valuer certification by the Australian Property Institute (National) and/or registration by the Queensland Valuers Registration Board. It is intended as an Australian Property Institute upgrade program for graduates holding a partially-qualifying property program.

Within the Master of Property Valuation program you will study five core courses covering a range of property areas, two electives from areas including finance, economics, real property and sustainable populations, and two research projects. You will negotiate research topics with a supervisor in a specific property area of interest.  The masters program gives you the opportunity to gain a broad understanding of property valuation and then tailor your skills and enhance your knowledge in a particular area of interest.

The program offers the flexibility of studying by distance education, giving you the freedom to complete your study from anywhere in Australia. Unlike most Australian postgraduate property programs, you are not required to attend lectures on-campus, so you can balance work and family life while you learn.
