A dual offer program provides you with access to commence your studies through the chosen diploma, with an alternate pathway into university. This pathway is ideal if you may not have qualified for immediate entry to university, you might not be sure, or ready, to begin university study or you would like to just get a taste of your future career.
Through the Diploma of Justice Administration/ Bachelor or Laws dual offer, CQIT graduates will receive guaranteed entry into the Bachelor of Laws.

The Diploma of Justice Administration qualification is designed to provide participants with appropriate training, knowledge and workplace skills for working in professional justice environments. Topics studied include Justice and Law Enforcement. Individuals will be able to work in an admin, managerial and/or law enforcement capacity in public or private organisations within the justice industry.
The Bachelor of Laws program covers all the areas of law required to satisfy professional accreditation and enables graduates to proceed to practice as a legal practitioner after completing the required professional training.
During your studies you will learn about legal procedures and key legislation, and be given the opportunity to develop skills necessary to identify, analyse and evaluate facts in relation to legal framework.
Our Bachelor of Laws program may also be undertaken by industry professionals looking to increase their knowledge of law within their own profession. Many law graduates work in areas directly related to the law, but also choose to work in occupations and industries where the knowledge and skills from a law degree are highly sought after and valued.

TAFE has long been a recognised pathway to university study and CQUniversity is pleased to announce a wide range of dual offer programs available with Central Queensland Institute of TAFE (CQIT) to make it even easier for students to start their university journey at TAFE.
The Diploma of Justice Administration/ Bachelor of Laws dual offer program is accredited with the Legal Practitioners Board of Queensland. It is unique as it is a three-year undergraduate degree that is studied by distance education. During this program we cover the coursework and theoretical concepts required to work in the profession. In order to be admitted as a legal practitioner to practice law in Australia, law graduates are required to undergo a period of practical legal training. This practical training needs to be completed outside of CQUniversity’s law program.

You are required to complete a total of 24 courses by distance education, all of which are compulsory core subjects.

Completing a dual offer program application is easy. Dual offers allow you to apply for a CQIT Diploma and a university qualification at the same time (one QTAC application only). Upon successful completion of your TAFE studies you will be able to progress seamlessly into CQUniversity’s Bachelor of Laws (with full credit for successful study).
This program is an approved academic qualification for admission to the legal profession. Upon graduation, you are also required to undertake a further period of practical legal training before being admitted as a legal practitioner.
This program is accredited by the Legal Practitioners Admission Board of Queensland.
