HealthTrain Student Handbook

HealthTrain’s Student Handbook has been designed to provide a wide range of important information to potential and existing students.  All potential students are encourage to read this document.  All students who enrol into a HealthTrain course will be required to formally acknowledge that they have read the Handbook.

The Student Handbook covers topics such as as privacy of information, expected behaviour, assessment processes and appeals, lodging a complaint, and general information on the Vocational Education and Training (VET) sector.  What underpins all of this information is that HealthTrain operates in a adult learning environment: that is there is a expectation that at all times individual students will behave in a manner similar to that of a normal working environment.  Additionally, many of the standards broadly reflect those that an individual will find in a workplace; therefore whether it is a requirement to fill out a form, be on time, respect your fellow students and HealthTrain staff, or follow a proper process for an appeal of a decision, the intent is to provide an adult learning environment that allows each individual the opportunity to achieve the outcomes they desire from the course – to be what they want to be.

Within the handbook there are a number of more detailed polices or forms referred to.  These policies and forms are in the following sections of this page.
