Fees and Charges

Fees and charges can be different depending upon the state in which you live or choose to study, the level of state or commonwealth funding available, and your personal circumstances.  Funding can change from one period to another; therefore fees and charges will also be subject to change.  In some circumstances, HealthTrain has flexibility in setting a fee structure, in other circumstances they will be determined by state or commonwealth governments or other contractual arrangements.  In all cases HealthTrain will endeavour to provide the most recent and correct fees and charges to prospective students in a transparent and open manner.  Individual Course Information Sheets will provide the specific fees and charges for each course on offer; however the following provides important information on how fees are established.  HealthTrain staff are also available to answer your questions at any time.

Victoria

Individuals undertaking their studies in Victoria may be eligible to access state funded training programs and this will affect the level of fee payable:

  • Full fees if you are not eligible for Victorian Government subsided training.
  • A reduced fee if you are eligible for Victorian Government subsided training.
  • A concession fee if you also meet certain financial or other criteria before you commence your course.
  • Additionally, materials fees will be charged to students.  Materials fees will differ from one course to another.

Short Courses and Workshops

Short courses and Workshops are fee-for-service courses. Organisations seeking on-site courses, such as First Aid, should contact our administration office for a price relevant to the number of attendees, location or other specific organisation needs.

Other States

As HealthTrain expands its programs into other states, either in a face-to-face or online method of delivery, fees and charges will be established for individual courses and will be identified within each Course Information Sheet.   If HealthTrain is able to access government subsidised training training for any course in any state outside of Victoria, the Course Information Sheet will provide details on eligibility rules established by the relevant state.  Prospective students should ensure that they understand the fee structure relevant to the course they are interested, in prior to any formal enrolment.

Commonwealth

From time to time HealthTain will have access to commonwealth supported training places.  Individual fees for these programs will be established as part of the contract for services agreed between HealthTrain and the relevant government department.

Currently, HealthTrain has limited places for existing workers in the aged-care industry who are seeking to gain recognition for undertaking specific skills-sets required by the sector, or for completing a full CHC30212 Certificate III or CHC40108 Certificate IV in Aged Care.  If you are an existing worker in this sector and you are interested in this program, please contact HealthTrain for further details so we can assess your eligibility for these commonwealth funded programs.
