My Career Match

To assist you in finding what program you should study you will need to complete the MyCareerMatch. This test matches careers most suitable from a personality type standpoint and strengths of the preferences of an individual.

To assist you in selecting the right career and program for you, follow the step by step process outlined below.

Step 1

Select MyCareerMatch 

Step 2

Enter your details and select Submit Details button 

Step 3

Read instructions and select Discover your career profile

Step 4

Read tips and select START QUESTIONNAIRE

Step 5

Re-enter your DETAILS

Step 6

Click on PROCEED TO QUESTIONNAIRE

Step 7

Answer the Questionnaire

Step 8

Enter ID code: CQU:20 and select CLICK TO COMPLETE

Step 9

You will be notified on screen of a successful completion and will receive your Career Profile report by email with 5 to 10 minutes. If you do not receive your report, please contact e.hamilton@cqu.edu.au who will email it to you direct.

Step 10

Interpret your results:

a. Open your Career Profile PDF results from your email.

b. Page 3 describes your personality style.

c. Page 4 lists occupations that are popular among your personality style.

d. Starting with page 5, these lists contain the links to the courses offered by CQUniversity that match your personality style.

e. To visit MyFuture and find out more about the occupations listed, find the 'Discover, explore and plan your career' page (near the end of your Career Profile document) and click on the titles of each occupation.


 

Step 11

How to enrol:

a. To enrol in a CQUni program access the How To Apply page which will inform you of the application process.

b. To assist you with following through with your intention to study, you should complete the Action Plan which will assist you in prioritising your tasks in a set timeframe.

d. If you need financial information such as Fees and Charges, Scholarships and Finance access the Financial Information page.

Step 12

Get a different opinion:

a. If you don't agree with the occupations you have been matched to, try a different career match test by going back to the What Program Should I Study? page.

b. To view all occupations and their related study pathways at CQUni, access the Career Directory.

c. Find out more about the program in the online Student Handbook. Ecample: to find out more about the Bachelor of Psychology program, click 'Undergraduate'  on the left hand side of the sutdent handbook page. Click the third program group titled 'Humanities, Psychology and Social Work.' Now find the program CU77- Bachelor of Psychology to read more about this program.

d. Access the My Future website to research the occupation you have been matched with further.
