Zonta Mackay Scholarship

The Zonta Club of Mackay will provide a scholarship to encourage and facilitate women graduating from the STEPS program in Mackay to continue on and undertake further tertiary study.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible to receive the Zonta Mackay Scholarship an applicant must be:

  • Female
  • A graduate of the CQUniversity STEPS Program in the year prior to enrolling in a Bachelor Program at CQUniversity
  • Entering into their 1st year of study in a Bachelor Program
  • Enrolled at CQUniversity at the time of Census Date
  • Must not hold a trade qualification

Selection Criteria

Each Applicant will be assessed based on and application form, supporting documentation and a written submission of no more than 500 words addressing the following criteria:

·         Career Aspirations

·         Community Awareness and Participation

·         A need for financial assistance

How do I apply?

To apply for the Zonta Mackay Scholarship:

  1. Read the Scholarship Guidelines
  2. Complete a Scholarship Application Form
  3. Ensure all  supporting documentation is completed and attached as outlined in the Scholarship Guidelines
  4. Submit your Scholarship Application to the Student Support Centre by the closing date – refer to the Scholarship Application Form for submission options

Please Note: Complete Applications must be received at the Student Support Centre, Scholarships Office by the closing date.

How will I know the outcome of my application?

A selection panel, consisting of representatives from Zonta Club Mackay Inc and CQUniversity will be formed to determine the successful applicant in each instance. A scholarship will only be offered where there is an applicant of sufficient merit.
