Rotary Club of Mackay North Inc Scholarship

The Rotary Club of Mackay North Inc. Scholarship will provide two scholarships to students who have a residential postcode (4737-4803) in the Mackay region and who are enrolling in their second year of study internally on the Mackay Campus or by Distance Education in the field of Health, Engineering, Science or Education.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible to receive the Rotary Club of Mackay North Inc. Scholarship applicants must:

  • Have a residential postcode in the Mackay Region (4737-4803)
  • Be enrolled as a full-time student at CQUniversity at the time of Census Date, internally on the Mackay Campus or by distance education.
  • Be entering into their 2nd year of study in a program that is in the field of Health, Engineering, Science or Education in Term One.
  • Be and Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident

Selection Criteria

Applicants will be assessed based on an application form and a written submission addressing the following criteria:

  •  How the Scholarship will help you to succeed to be what you want to be
  • Future career aspirations
  • Leadership potential and experience, and/or community participation
Applicants should also demonstrate:
  • Strong communication skills and
  • Evidence of Academic Achievements in their first year of study

Additional Information

Successful Applicants must be willing to participate in any relevant functions or publicity events the Development and Alumni Relation Directorate may organise during the year.

How do I apply?

To apply for the Rotary Club of Mackay North Inc. Scholarship:

  1. Read the Scholarship Guidelines
  2. Complete a Scholarship Application Form
  3. Ensure all  supporting documentation is completed and attached as outlined in the Scholarship Guidelines
  4. Submit your Scholarship Application to the Student Support Centre by the closing date – refer to the Scholarship Application Form for submission options

Please Note: Complete Applications must be received at the Student Support Centre, Scholarships Office by the closing date.

How will I know the outcome of my application?

A selection panel, consisting of representatives from Rotary Club of Mackay Inc and CQUniversity will be formed to determine the successful applicant in each instance. All applicants will be notified of the outcome of their applications as soon as possible after the selection panel determination.
