Queensland Alumina Limited (QAL)

Queensland Alumina Limited (QAL) will provide a scholarship to encourage and support students throughout their study at CQUniversity.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible to receive QAL Scholarship an applicant must be:

• A full-time first year students who proceeded from Year 12 in 2012; and

• A resident in the Gladstone Region; and

• Be currently enrolled in any of the following disciplines at CQUniversity:

• Applied Science

• Environmental Science

• Business

• Engineering

• Information Technology

Selection Criteria

Each applicant will be assessed based on an application form and a written submission addressing the following criteria including supporting documentation:

• Previous and current academic achievements;

• Career Aspirations;

• Leadership experience; and

• Community, cultural and personal/sporting interests.

Supporting Documentation

Applicants should also supply the following documents with their application:

• Senior Certificate

• OP Score

• CQUniversity academic history (unofficial)

• Other relevant supporting documentation

How do I apply?

To apply for the QAL Scholarship:

1. Read the Scholarship Guidelines
2. Complete a Scholarship Application Form 
3. Ensure all  supporting documentation is completed and attached as outlined in the Scholarship Guidelines
4. Submit your Scholarship Application to the Student Support Centre by the closing date – refer to the Scholarship Application Form for submission options

Please Note: Complete Applications must be received at the Student Support Centre, Scholarships Office by the closing date.

How will I know the outcome of my application?

A selection panel, consisting of representatives from QAL and CQUniversity will meet to determine the successful applicant. All applicants will be notified of the outcome of their applications as soon as possible after the selection panel sits.
