Aligning with Australia’s national health-research priorities, the Health CRN’sscholarships aim to maximise opportunities for researchers to harness CQUniversity's 'power of place'. With access to health networks on the ground in rural and regional communities CQUniversity is best positioned to engage with its communities to solve the challenges they face.
Strong candidates whose interests align to areas of nursing research focus: mental health; improving patient outcomes; and innovative education are particularly encouraged to apply. Present research topics in this area include:
· Mental illness: the recovery approach and lived experience of mental illness
· Diabetes: management of diabetes including insulin pump therapy
· Patient outcomes: rapid response systems; the deteriorating patient; and disaster management
· Education: aligning the needs of practice with education and simulation in nursing education
To discuss potential topics contact: Professor Ysanne Chapman (y.chapman@cqu.edu.au).
We recommend that candidates review the CQUniversity web-site for further information on our people and projects (www.cqu.edu.au).
