CQUniversity is offering a great opportunity with six 3 year PhD Scholarships under the Health Collaborative Research Network (CRN) project with partners Curtin University, Queensland University of Technology and The University of Queensland. Candidates must:
· possess qualifications equivalent to an Australian first class honours degree or Master by Research.
· if within a clinical discipline, possess appropriate registration.
· fulfil all other CQUniversity doctoral candidate requirements for domestic students including visa requirements if appropriate.

With access to health networks on the ground in rural and regional communities CQUniversity is best positioned to engage with its communities to solve the challenges they face.
Applied sport scientist Associate Professor Peter Reaburn is seeking high quality, highly applied, inquisitive and enthusiastic PhD candidates to work within his growing masters athlete research team. A series of PhD projects are available focused on the following areas:
· Masters athletes as models of successful ageing
· Short- and long-term recovery rates from high intensity exercise in masters athletes
· Recovery practices and interventions in masters athletes
· Dietary practices and interventions in masters athletes
· Musculoskeletal health in masters athletes
· Body composition, energy balance and motivation in masters athletes

Scholarships are available to CQUniversity candidates who wish to develop health-related research projects alongside larger, metropolitan research teams. Candidates must have a co-supervisor from one of the three Health CRN partners: Curtin University; Queensland University of Technology; or The University of Queensland.

Package opportunities include:
- Base package $30,000 per year (tax free) scholarship plus approximately $14,000 in additional benefits such as: travel, resource costs and ancillary work.
- Access to up to $10,000 in collaborative research and researcher development programs dependant on performance.
- The HEALTH CRN Partnership offers the potential to build national research networks and project collaborations.
- Eligibility for other HEALTH CRN funded opportunities considered.
