The Equity Residential School Initiative (ERSI) assists CQUniversity students on low income to meet some of the additional costs they incur when attending compulsory residential schools as part of their academic program. The initiative is offered for one term only. Students wishing to be considered for the initiative in subsequent terms will need to submit a new application each term.

To be eligible for the ERSI, a student must:
be in receipt of a Centrelink Benefit or can demonstrate low personal/family income;
be attending a compulsory residential school as part of their CQUniversity program for the term in which they are applying for the scholarship;
demonstrate that the additional costs incurred as a result of attending the compulsory residential school will result in financial hardship;
be a Commonwealth supported AND undergraduate student at CQUniversity;
be an Australian Citizen, Australian Permanent Resident or holder of a Humanitarian Visa

The Equity Residential School Initiative is a financial supplement and is not intended to cover all of the costs associated with attending your residential school.
Students are able to request a review of the decision made by the selection panel-please refer to the Review Process for Equity Scholarship and Financial Assistance Program document for more information.
Terms and Conditions of the Initiative
Successful applicants must be enrolled in the relevant courses at the start of term.
Payment of the Initiative
Successful applicants will receive a financial supplement of $200, $350 or $500 depending on the degree of financial hardship assessed by the selection panel.
Payment of the scholarship will be made via electronic funds transfer as soon as possible after final enrolment checks at the start of term.
Please note: Successful applicants may not receive payment until after their Residential School for Term 2 (if Residential Schools are held prior to Week 4).

Please note: Complete Applications must be received at the Student Support Centre Scholarships Office by the closing date.
A selection panel will meet to determine the successful applicants. All applicants will be notified of the outcome of their applications as soon as possible after the selection panel sits.
