The Equity Compulsory Placement Initiative (ECPI) assists CQUniversity students on low income to meet some of the additional costs they incur when undertaking compulsory unpaid work placements as part of their academic program.

To be eligible for the ECPI, a student must:
*Consideration will be given to students undertaking part-time compulsory placement where additional financial hardship can be demonstrated.
Please be aware that in some circumstances the Student Support Centre may be required to confirm the details of your work placement with your placement supervisor/coordinator.
Applicants will be assessed based on their ability to demonstrate low personal/family income as well as the degree of financial hardship that they will incur as a result of additional costs to attend compulsory unpaid work placement.
The Equity Compulsory Placement is a financial supplement and is not intended to cover all of the costs associated with attending your placement.
If your placement is terminated or you withdraw prior to completion you should notify the Student Support Centre immediately.
A new application is required for each subsequent placement
Ensure that your application reaches the Student Support Centre, Building 31 in Rockhampton from two (2) to six (6) weeks prior to commencement of your placement. Payments will not be backdated if received after two weeks prior to commencement of your placement;

Payment of Initiative
Payment of the initiative will be made via electronic funds transfer. The initiative may be paid in fortnightly instalments at the discretion of the Student Support Centre.
