The Desmond Tabone Engineering Scholarship is a $3000 annual payment available to a first year CQUniversity student who wants to specialise in Mechanical Engineering for the duration of their degree to a maximum of four years.

A selection panel, consisting of representatives from Central Queensland University will be formed to determine the successful applicant in each instance. A scholarship will only be offered where there is an applicant of sufficient merit. All applicants will be notified of the outcome of their applications as soon as possible after the selection panel sits.
The Desmond Tabone Engineering Scholarship has been established in the memory of Desmond Tabone by his wife Dorothy Tabone to support a financially deserving Engineering student who intends to specialise in Mechanical Engineering.
