CQUniversity Engineering Co-op Program Relocation Bursary

The CQUniversity Engineering Co-op Program Relocation Bursary aims to assist commencing Bachelor of Engineering (Co-op) and Diploma of Professional Practice (Engineering) students with the cost of relocating to study at CQUniversity from the Brisbane, Townsville and Cairns regions.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible to receive The CQUniversity Engineering Co-op Program Relocation Bursary applicants must:

  • Be commencing full-time studies in the Bachelor of Engineering (Co-op) and Diploma of Professional Practice (Engineering) in Term 1, 2013
  • Be relocating from Brisbane, Townsville or Cairns regions to study at CQUniversity.*
  • Be an Australian Citizen,  Australian Permanent Resident or holder of a Humanitarian Visa

* For the purposes of the bursary the Brisbane, Townsville and Cairns regions are defined in accordance with the QTAC postcode allocation as follows:

Brisbane Region

4000-4207; 4280; 4300-4306; 4500-4512; 4516; 4520-4521

Townsville Region

4806-4820; 4850-4851

Cairns Region

4849; 4852-4889; 4895

 

Selection Criteria

Applicants will be assessed based on an application form and a written submission addressing the following criteria:

  • Your Career Aspirations in Engineering and
  • Past Academic Achievement

Terms and Conditions of Bursary

Successful Applicants must be enrolled as per the above eligibility criteria at Census date of Term 1 2013.

Successful Applicants must also make reasonable endeavours to be an active ambassador for the Engineering Co-op Program such as providing a testimonial of their experience in the program.

 

Payment of the Bursary

Payment of the scholarship will be made via electronic funds transfer as soon possible after final enrolment checks at Census date.

How do I apply?

To apply for the Engineering Co-op Program Relocation Bursary:

  1. Read the Bursary Guidelines
  2. Complete a Bursary Application Form
  3. Ensure all  supporting documentation is completed and attached as outlined in the Bursary Guidelines
  4. Submit your Scholarship Application to the Student Support Centre by the closing date – refer to the Scholarship Application Form for submission options

Please Note: Complete Applications must be received at the Student Support Centre, Scholarships Office by the closing date.

How will I know the outcome of my application?

A selection panel, consisting of representatives from CQUniversity will meet to determine the successful applicant. All applicants will be notified of the outcome of their applications as soon as possible after the selection panel sits.
