To be eligible for an Indigenous Commonwealth Scholarship applicants:
· must be an Australian citizen;
· must be an Indigenous person;
· must be enrolled in an undergraduate program, associate degree, eligible enabling program, or enrolled in a postgraduate program in an area of
· National Priority required for initial registration to practice in the chosen National Priority;
· must be a Commonwealth supported student at CQUniversity;
· must be undertaking a full-time study load unless there are exceptional circumstances that prevent you from studying full-time;
· must be in receipt of a Centrelink benefi t or can demonstrate low personal/family income;
· must not have already completed the requirements of a course of study (with any provider) regarded to be equivalent to or higher than a bachelor’s
· award, unless such award is a prerequisite to your current undergraduate course of study; and
· must NOT be receiving any other scholarship including a Commonwealth Scholarship, Start-Up/Relocation Scholarship or a similarly valued

Continuing eligibility
To receive the second payment of the Indigenous Commonwealth Scholarship, the Student Support Centre will review your academic results from the previous term. If you do not pass at least 50% of your course load, you may not receive a second payment.
The second payment will be made pending your enrolment status as at HECS census date in your next term of study (excluding Term 3).
Scholarships may be deferred for a maximum of one year during the duration of the award pending student request and approval from the Student Support Centre.
Terms and Conditions of the Scholarship
Award and retention of your Commonwealth Scholarship is on the basis that you continue to meet the Commonwealth Scholarships Guidelines (Education) 2008 .
Scholarship recipients must be enrolled in terms 1 and 2 in order to receive two payments in 2013.
Scholarship recipients who defer or withdraw from their studies as at HECS census date will forfeit payment for that term.
