BR Radiology Group Scholarship

The BR Radiology Group will provide one Scholarship to a CQUniversity student who is entering into their first year of study within the Bachelor of Medical Sonography and Graduate Diploma of Medical Sonography.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible to receive the BR Radiology Group Scholarship an applicant must be:

• Entering into their first year of study in a Bachelor of Medical Sonography and Graduate Diploma of Medical Sonography in Term 1
• Enrolled at CQUniversity at Census date either at a CQUniversity campus or by Distance Education
• An Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident

Selection Criteria

Applicants will be assessed based on an application form and a written submission addressing the following criteria including supporting documentation:

• Career Aspirations in Sonography
• Past Academic Performance
• Community Participation

Additional Information

Successful Applicant must:

• Be willing to undertake clinical work placements as required as a part of their program at BR Radiology Group practice
• Maintain satisfactory academic progress by achieving passing grades in all enrolled courses in Term 1.

If the terms and conditions of the scholarship are not met, the BR Radiology Group may request all monies received by the recipient to be repaid.

Payment of the Scholarship

The scholarship is made in two installments $2500 in Term 1 and $2500 in Term 2. Payment of the scholarship will be made via electronic funds transfer as soon as possible after final enrolment checks at Term 1 and Term 2 Census dates.

How do I apply?

To apply for the BR Radiology Group Scholarship:

1. Read the Scholarship Guidelines
2. Complete a Scholarship Application Form
3. Ensure all  supporting documentation is completed and attached as outlined in the Scholarship Guidelines
4. Submit your Scholarship Application to the Student Support Centre by the closing date – refer to the Scholarship Application Form for submission options

Please Note: Complete Applications must be received at the Student Support Centre, Scholarships Office by the closing date.

How will I know the outcome of my application?

A selection panel, consisting of representatives from BR Radiology Group (if available) and CQUniversity will be formed to determine the successful applicant. A scholarship will only be offered where there is an applicant of sufficient merit. All applicants will be notified of the outcome of their applications as soon as possible after the selection panel sits.
