I arrived at CQU in January of 2013 to assist with the roll-out of the new Speech Pathology program.  For the past few years I have worked in Townsville, QLD at JCU as they began their new program.  I am originally from Boulder, Colorado in the United States.  I have worked a variety of jobs in tertiary education while continuing to see adults and children for speech therapy.

    Professional Experience

As a practicing speech pathologist, I have worked across the age range with people have a variety of communication and swallowing difficulties.  I especially like working with people having speaking difficulty that requires use of augmentative or alternative communication methods.

Because many of my clients have complex needs, I have worked with many inter-professional teams.  That is an area in which I have researched and taught as i believe good teams provide the best service for clients.
