Senior Lecturer in Physiotherapy
BSc in Physiotherapy in 2002 from Thessaloniki, Greece. Straight after, worked clinically at Rehab Station Stockholm - a rehabilitation center for neurological conditions – in Sweden (2002-2006).
PhD from the department of Neuro-rehabilitation, Karolinska Institute (2005-2010). The aim of the doctoral thesis was to investigate the impact of a systematic approach to manage Spinal Cord Injuries on 1 year mortality and other clinical outcomes.
Founding member and Chairman (2006-2012) of the non profit organization Alli Opsi that organizes training camps for individuals with spinal cord injuries. Actively involved with introducing and establishing wheelchair rugby in Greece.
Lecturer at the European University Cyprus in Neurological Physiotherapy, Nicosia, Cyprus (2010-2011).
Senior Physiotherapist at the Spinalis Botswana Spinal Cord Injury Center - a Swedish project to develop the National Spinal Unit at Princess Marina Hospital in Gaborone, Botswana.
Came to CQUniversity in October 2012 and got involved with the curriculum development of the Physiotherapy Program. Special area of interest is Neurological Physiotherapy and technical aids for mobility, including wheelchair siting and handling.
