Background

Maria is a graduate of CQUniversity who spent her first five years of teaching with EQ in Bundaberg and Gladstone where she taught English and SOSE.  Her next 10 years of teaching were at Marist College Emerald where she held a number of positions, starting with that of a classroom teacher , then as PAR English and SOSE and lastly as Assistant to the Principal Curriculum.  After maternity leave Maria spent some time as the librarian at Marist College Emerald before undertaking a lecturing contract with CQUniversity.  She has spent the last eight years working at the Emerald Campus and is the Senior Education Academic for the School of Education. 


Please note: As of the 1st of January 2013 Maria works for the CQUniversity on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays only.

Professional Experience

Maria is the Senior Education Academic for the School of Education, Division of Higher Education - Emerald Learning Centre , she also works with the First Year Distance Student Cohort.

Maria is the coodinator for all Catholic Education Study for CQUniversity and as such is responsible for supporting students who choose to study the BLM Primary or BLM Early Childhood as part of the Catholic Education Cohort.
