Angelina completed a Diploma of Teaching (Primary) at Darling Downs Institute of Advanced Education (now known as Southern Queensland University) in 1989 and began her teaching career at Caboolture State School. Angelina completed her country teaching service at Healy State School in Mt Isa before moving to Pacific Paradise State School on the Sunshine Coast. During her time in Mt Isa, Angelina embarked on a cultural exchange to China with the Department of Education. She taught spoken English to middle school students at No 1 Middle School attached to East China University in Shanghai for one year.
Angelina supervised and mentored many pre-service teachers during her time at Pacific Paradise State School. Many of these pre-service teachers came from the Noosa campus of Central Queensland University. Due to her work with pre-service teachers at Pacific Paradise, along with her interest in mentoring relationships in this context, Angelina joined the Bachelor of Learning Management team at CQU in 2005.
Angelina taught in Queensland primary schools for 16 years before joining the School of Education at Central Queensland University as a lecturer in education. Angelina has undertaken the roles of classroom mentor and Lead Learning Manager with pre-service teachers and is currently a Teaching Schools Coordinator at the Noosa campus.
Angelina is currently the Vice President of SEAQ

Angelina is interested in the professional placement in pre-service teacher education. In particular she has a keen interest in the professional relationships that occur between mentor teachers and pre-service teachers during the professional placement. Angelina is also interested in what makes an effective mentor and how this might impact on the future development of quality teachers. Angelina is also interested in Education for Sustainability and how we as teachers can engage learners in looking after our environment and greater world.
