Dr Les Dawes

Topic: On-site systems and Water Quality

Abstract: Dr Les Dawes has recently completed his PhD at the Queensland University of Technology (QUT) in which he investigated the long-term effects on soil tha treceive on-site wastewater. Soils have finite capacity in regards to the removal of pollutants from wastewater, and overtime this capacity may even decline. In this presentation Dr Dawes will discuss how water quality and on-site systems impact on soild and potentially groundwater. Examples will be drawn from his PhD research as well as other recent investigations conducted by the QUT.
