Assoc. Prof Matthew J. Rockloff

Head of the Population Research Laboratory

Assoc. Prof. Matthew Rockloff received a PhD in social psychology from Florida Atlantic University in 1999. Prior to residence at CQUniversity, he served as a post-doctoral fellow at the University of Nevada's Center for Applied Research, the state's largest survey research organization. In this position, he conducted surveys for America's Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and the National Institutes of Health (NIH). Dr Rockloff has been honoured as a Jack Walker Scholar and twice as an Aurel B. Newell Fellow. Dr Rockloff is also the Deputy Director of the Institute for Health and Social Science Research.

Professor Kerry Mummery

Founder, Advisor to the Population Research Laboratory

Professor Kerry Mummery is the founder of the Population Research Laboratory, the first fully functional CATI survey lab housed in an Australian University and led the research team until 2010. Professor Mummery has recently accepted a position as the Dean of the Faculty of Physical Education and Recreation at the University of Alberta, Canada. He remains as an Adjunct Professor with CQUniversity and a close advisor to the Population Research Laboratory and other research teams at the Institute.

Dr Mitch Duncan

Research Fellow (Preventative Medicine and Health Promotion)

Dr Mitch Duncan undertakes and supervises research which he describes as 'behavioural epidemiology with a focus on identifying correlates of activity behaviours to improve health'. Dr Duncan is currently involved in several research projects examining physical activity levels and associated health outcomes in both population based and intervention studies using both self-report and objective measures of physical activity. Dr Duncan has extensive experience working with large population survey data sets and has a strong track record in publications resultant from this research.

Christine Hanley

Manager of the Population Research Laboratory

Christine Hanley is the Manager of the Population Research Laboratory (PRL) at CQUniversity. Ms Hanley is an experienced project manager with extensive hands-on involvement in large scale population research design, sample managment, data collection and analysis of a variety of projects. Ms Hanley oversees the technical aspects of PRL projects, from questionnaire development, construction and management of complex samples, data processing, data analysis and report preparation.

Stephanie Hall

Research Assistant

Stephanie Hall is a Research Assistant with the Population Research Laboratory. Ms Hall assists with many technical aspects of PRL projects including data processing, data analysis and report preparation and assists in staff and general administration.
