Title: To explore the triage of people accessing Opioid Replacement Therapy.

Summary: The aim of this project is to explore triage in Opioid Replacement Therapy (ORT) and to identify how clinicians influence access for consumers. The study is being undertaken in two stages. Stage one: quantitative research with the review of clinical data from one ORT service provider. Stage 2: qualitative research, the interviewing of clinicians to explore their decision making process with consumer access to ORT. It is anticipated that the results of this project will enable clinicians to reflect on their practice to identify if consumer needs are being met and to inform policy makers of the issues involved with access to ORT.
