This SIG has amalgamated with the GSS and the PTO SIGs to become the new PETO SIG (May, 2011)

Purpose

The group will focus on blended and online learning environments; mobile and web-based learning; computer-mediated instruction; the use of technology to assist student learning; peer, group, and collaborative learning in blended learning environments; learning management systems; student interaction; online plagiarism and associated ethical issues; and a number of other related topics.

Strategic Deliverables

The Learning and teaching framework of CQUniversity: Continuing the Conversation (Muldoon, Tickle, Taylor, and Viljoen, 2009) clearly identifies blended learning environments as one of the three essential elements (along with authentic learning models and enabling systems, practices, and partnerships) underlying the strategic directions for learning and teaching.
