Abstract

With the removal of the CQUniversity International Education Research Centre, a new Special Interest Group (SIG) has been created in LTERC under the name International Education Research (IER). Following the recent official announcement of this new SIG, Dr Cowling would like to use this opportunity to discuss what International Education is and how it’s applied at CQUniversity, with a special focus on why research into this area is so important. Michael will also take this opportunity to give examples of some of the work done by IERC in International Education in the past and to call for new members for this SIG from across all of the CQUniversity campuses. Anybody interested in International Education, International students or just simply how we can communicate with our broad and diverse student population more effectively should attend this presentation.
