Abstract

The creation of ACID has come from the past 14 years of working with academics from CQU and other Universities from around the world. At every University academics were always saying that they had no way of knowing who is doing what, when and where. You can search conference sights and you read journals but there is nothing that really allows you to have multiple university papers listed in one simple location. ACID is the answer to this problem, ACID will open new lines of communication for all member universities to CQU. ACID an online database that helps bring Academics with common research interests together. This website helps Academics connect with each other from around the world by allowing users to browse fellow Academics by Name, Papers, Location, Tags and more. Yes there are other sites out there that offer this at a price or in a manner that is so complex it makes it difficult to navigate and dangerous to subscribe, ACID is created by University Staff for University use.
