SafeWork SA Young Workers Project

Project Team for the SafeWork SA funded project on health and safety for young workers

Researchers at the Appleton Institute are starting a new project to investigate work health and safety for young workers. The project will ask young people aged 12-25 about their experiences with work, including accidents, injuries, attitudes and more.

Too many young South Australians suffer illness, injury or even death as a result of their work.

This project will develop a strategy for work health and safety for young workers, by finding out what young people know about health and safety at work.

Appleton Institute researchers Dr. Sophie Rainbird, Associate Professor Verna Blewett and Dr. Jessica Paterson are involved in the projoect - pictured here with Meegan Brotherton from Safework SA.
