The HEALTH CRN Partner Universities provide health-related researchers the opportunity to participate in the Long-term Exchange Program. Funding cross-institutional exchanges of approximately three months in duration, the HEALTH CRN aims to assist researchers wishing to advance their research career through long-term immersion in a successful research culture.
Participants in the Long-term Exchange Program are expected to use the exhange to advance the HEALTH CRN's general goals and achieve program specific objectives such as:

Participation is open to all health-related researchers from Partner Universities.
The HEALTH CRN Partner Universities include:
Depending on application quality, up to six participants may be funded in the 2012-2013 financial year.
From CQUniversity, successful applicants will undertake a long-term exchange at one of the Partner Universities and successful applicants among the Partner Universities will be invited to CQUniversity.
The HEALTH CRN is supported through the Australian Government’s Collaborative Research Networks (CRN) Program.
The general goals of HEALTH CRN programs are to increase the quality, quantity and sustainability of research output at CQUniversity.
Successful applicants participating in the HEALTH CRN ’s Long-term Exchange Program will be provided an opportunity to further their research career by embedding in a high-performance research team from within the network of the HEALTH CRN Partner Universities.
The strong base of leading research centres and champions of research excellence within the network of the HEALTH CRN Partner Universities provides researchers with diverse opportunities to tailor an application to best suit their individual needs.
The cross-institutional visits can benefit researchers with access to relevant experiences and opportunities to develop ongoing collaborative research. It is expected that participants seek to benefit by: co-authoring publications and grant proposals; undertaking joint pilot studies; and participating in training and career development opportunities at the host university.

Applicants should first read the HEALTH CRN Guidelines for Applicants and the program profile LEP - Applicant Information. Clarify any queries with the Project Manager before completing and submitting an application form. Evaluation is merit based with key considerations detailed in the provided documentation.
The HEALTH CRN will prioritise applications that best align with the CQUniversity Strategic Plan, HEALTH CRN goals and can clearly achieve against program aims and outcomes.
