Listed below are the meeting details for CQUniveristy's Research Committees.

The CQUniversity Animal Ethics Committee (CQUAEC)

The CQUniversity Animal Ethics Committee (CQUAEC) meets at least six (6) times per year. Notification of outcomes are normally posted within five (5) working days after the meeting. It is recommended that you submit your application for clearance well in advance of the project's planned starting date to ethics@cqu.edu.au .

Please note any ethics application received after the closing date for a meeting will be held over to the next meeting of the CQUAEC.

The CQUniversity Human Research Ethics Committee (CQUHREC)

The CQUniversity Human Research Ethics Committee (CQUHREC ) meets every month.

The notification of the outcome of the meetings is approximately five (5) working days after the meeting date. To avoid delays, you should submit your application two (2) months prior to your anticipated commencement of the participation by humans in your research to ethics@cqu.edu.au. Any ethics application received after the closing date will be held over to the next meeting.

Expedited Review

If expedited review is requested, a memo from the applicant justifying the request for executive approval needs to accompany the application. Expedited Review is only available if unforeseen circumstances arise, requiring the prompt collection of data. The notification of the outcome of the expedited review is approximately ten (10) working days after the receipt of application.

Important Note: Only minimal risk research will be reviewed executively where appropriate justification for such a review is given by the applicant.

Institutional Boisafety Committe

The Biosafety Committee encourages you to submit ED and NLRD applications at any time during the year. These applications may be assessed outside of meeting dates. Outcomes will be notified within five (5) working days of receipt. For all submissions that may require potential licensed dealings the applications will be evaluated at a scheduled Biosafety Committee meeting.
