Thesis Name: An investigation into the vegetation ecology of the Central Queensland Serpentine landscape
Thesis Abstract:
This research will contribute to the knowledge of the vegetation ecology of the Central Queensland Serpentine landscape. It seeks to examine the plant soil interactions, growing and germination requirements of the endemic and rare and threatened flora. This research will investigate the relationships between soil nickel, magnesium, calcium and other heavy metals and the species richness and structure of the vegetation. Research into the ecology of the endemic and rare plants will support the management of the Central Queensland serpentine landscape, and assist in regeneration of the vegetation.
