Vice-Chancellor's Awards for Outstanding Researchers

Nominations are now invited for the CQUniversity Vice-Chancellor's Awards for Outstanding Researchers.  Three levels of Awards are available:

Early Career Research Award

An eligible nominee will be within the first five-years (relative to opportunity) of their research career following completion of their PhD.  To be competitive, a nominee would be able to demonstrate having taken a leadership role in establishing research relationships with external stakeholders and within research teams, bringing together researchers from other national universities.

Mid-Career Research Award

An eligible nominee will have between five and ten years research experience since the award of their PhD (or equivalent research qualification).  A competitive nominee would demonstrate national influence in expanding the knowledge in their discipline area, and have made significant and original contributions to research which have had a significant impact on their field of expertise.

Excellence in Research Award

An eligible nominee must have not less than ten years research experience since the award of their PhD (or equivalent research qualification).  A competitive nominee would demonstrate international recognition and influence in expanding the knowledge in their discipline area, and have made independent and original contributions to research which have had a significant impact on their field of expertise.  They will also lead and foster excellence in research, including in research training and supervision.

Award for Excellence in Research Higher Degree Supervision

Nominations are now invited for the CQUniversity Award for Excellence in Research Higher Degree Supervision.

The Award is a reflection of CQUniversity's commitment to achieving and acknowledging outstanding levels of performance in supervising, mentoring and training research higher degree candidates.

Eligible nominees must have a minimum of three years of current and continuous experience undertaking research supervision, mentoring and/or training research higher degree candidates at time of nomination.  Nominees would be expected to meet the profile of an excellent supervisor, as set out in the Procedures.
