Do I Have What it Takes?

You'll need a combination of the following: hard work, motivation, discipline, time management, good study habits, enthusiasm, ability to work independently, good communication skills, basic computer skills and a desire to learn. Having a supportive family and friends also helps, as well as some casual work to pay the bills.

If you're concerned you don't have the skills, haven't studied in a while, or have missed the OP or prerequisite subjects required, we offer a series of free Bridging programs that will prepare you to successfully study at university.

Making the Right Connections

When it comes to finding a job after graduation, CQUniversity Australia students are making the right connections.

Because our programs often include practical work experience and industry placement, many of our students are in the workforce before they finish studying. This gives CQUniversity students an edge over other university graduates because they have already established relationships with potential employers. Many students who complete industry placements are offered jobs with their host company even before the end of their studies.

Work experience and industry placement also position our students ahead of the pack because employers know they're ready to hit the ground running. Practical studies at CQUniversity programs in education, nursing, biology and performing arts include real-world work experience as part of the degree.Co-operative education is an educational model that integrates academic studies with paid work experience. CQUniversity degrees offering paid work experience include engineering, information technology, applied physics, business and accounting (Diploma of Professional Practice).
