In 2001 the Conservatorium of Music opened its showpiece facility at CQUniversity Mackay. It features a 200-seat fully professional theatre with orchestra pit, fly tower and full lighting, audio and video facilities. The theatre, suitable for recitals, chamber music, orchestral and opera/stage productions also houses a Stuart and Sons concert grand piano, especially commissioned for the theatre.

Other facilities include a 180-seat foyer and performance space with bar and kitchen, box office and reception, excellent practice rooms, dressing rooms and change facilities, keyboard lab, computer lab, teaching studios and   a multimedia production lab. Also on campus are classroom teaching spaces, lecture theatres, a fully equipped library with audio/video and computer facilities and a professional dance studio with a sprung floor.

The home of the Conservatorium’s music program, CQUniversity Rockhampton features indoor and outdoor performance spaces.

The Benke Studio, The Helene Jones Room and the outdoor amphitheatre, practice rooms and teaching studios, lecture theatres and computer/multimedia labs.

A well-established concert series featuring student performances, national and international artists is an important and popular event that draws audiences from CQUniversity Rockhampton and beyond. In addition to a busy event schedule featuring master classes, clinics and workshops by international touring artists, students and staff regularly perform at venues in the city and surrounding regions.

CQUniversity Noosa offers modern facilities and surrounds including laboratories, library and student resource centre facilities, state-of-the-art collaborative learning spaces and is home to the Learning and Teaching Education Research Centre.

The Creative Music Technologies and Contemporary Music specialisations are delivered at Noosa in collaboration with Sunshine Coast Institute of TAFE at their Nambour campus.

Facilities include fully equipped recording studios, computer and production labs, performance venues, classroom teaching spaces and lecture theatres.
