 14 May Booker Prize novels of 2004.  We are going to read the winner, The Line of Beauty (recently televised on ABC) by Alan Hollinghurst.  And also one of two of the short listed books, Bitter Fruit, Achmat Dangor, The Electric Michelangelo, Sara Hall, Cloud Atlas, David Mitchell, The Master, Colm Toibin and I'll Go to Bed at Noon, Gerard Woodward.  See if we agree with the judges decision.
 9 July India - compare the works of Indian authors writing about their own country and others who have set their novels in India.
