Photocopying
To request a photocopy of an article from a journal or a chapter of a book, fill out and submit an online Photocopy Request Form. This service is not available to Central Queensland campus staff or students if the requested article/chapter is held at their home campus. To assist with processing it is important that all fields are completed and the request meets the requirements of the Australian Copyright Act.
Photocopies are usually processed within two days of receipt and will be forwarded to your student email address. If you live in a location with poor internet access, material can be faxed for 20 cents per page or sent by Australian Air Express for the current rate. At the end of the year an invoice will be sent if the total for printing and delivery exceeds $10.00. Photocopies are 11 cents per page.
Print and photocopy facilities
At each of our Central Queensland campus libraries students can print or photocopy in black & white or colour provided their print account is in credit. A minimum of $5.00 credit can be added to a student print account using the EFTPOS facility at each campus library. For each page printed or copied, the account will be debited at the following rate:
A4 black & white 10 cents per page A4 colour 30 cents per page
A3 black & white 20 cents per page A3 colour 60 cents per page
Staff and members of the public who wish to use library photocopiers can do so by purchasing a card and adding a minimum of $5.00 credit.
Students at the Brisbane, Gold Coast, Melbourne and Sydney campuses should refer to their campus Orientation guide for details about printing and photocopying entitlements.
Copyright
All requests are subject to the provisions of the Copyright Act 1968.
In the case of fair dealing for the purposes of "research or study", the Copyright Act specifically provides that it is "fair dealing" to copy:
