AV Equipment Loans

CQUniversity has a range of audio-visual (AV) equipment resources available for students for learning, research and study purposes.

AV Equipment includes: Digital Cameras; Digital Video Camcorders; Tripods; CD/ Radio/Cassette Players; DVD and Video Players; TV Monitors, H2 Handy Recorders; iPods; Amplifiers; Microphones; Projector Screens; and Data Projectors.

With permission from your Lecturer or Tutor, CQUniversity students can organise to loan AV equipment from their local CQUni Library on Rockhampton, Gladstone, Bundaberg and Mackay Campuses.
Please be aware, the range of AV equipment available for loan will vary on each Campus.

Alternatively, students can also arrange for the ITD Service Centre to deliver and assemble any necessary AV equipment you may need on-campus. For example, if you are presenting an oral assessment and would like to play a DVD during your presentation, you can ask your Lecturer or Tutor to arrange for the ITD Service Centre to set-up a TV monitor and DVD player in your tutorial room for your individual presentation.

Please note: to make an equipment booking, students require prior written approval from their lecturer.

1. To loan AV equipment, students must ask their Lecturer to sign this form. Once the form is completed, simply return it to your local CQUni Library.
   
2. To organise for AV equipment to be delivered and assembled in teaching spaces (e.g. tutorial rooms) on-campus, students must ask your Lecturer to submit an online booking form on your behalf.

IMPORTANT NOTES:

If you have a confirmed equipment set-up booking, then your equipment will be delivered and set-up by ITD staff.

Bookings are not confirmed until you receive written (email or hard copy) confirmation from ITD.

Once the AV equipment is delivered and assembled on location, the safekeeping, safe operation and custody of the equipment is the responsibility of the 'loanee' (student). Custodianship remains with the 'loanee' until ITD staff take possession of the equipment. If equipment setups finish after hours, the 'loanee' will need to arrange for the safekeeping of the goods until return to ITD during normal hours. The CQUniversity Security Unit may be able to assist with this.
