VPN (Virtual Private Network)

CQUniversity's Virtual Private Network (VPN) enables staff to access the University's secured internal network using any Internet Service Provider (ISP). This means that once staff access the internet, they can establish a private connection between their computer and the CQUniversity network from any location in the world.

1. Accessing VPN

  • Prior to using the VPN service, staff will need to seek written approval from their Supervisor. This approval is necessary to verify that staff need off-campus access the CQUniversity network (via VPN)for work purposes.

  • Staff must provide the ITD Service Centre with a copy of their Supervisors written approval to use the VPN service. Once this has been provided, the ITD Service Centre will establish their VPN access.
