MathType for Staff

MathType - the Professional version of Equation Editor. MathType is a powerful interactive tool for Windows and Macintosh that enables staff create mathematical notation for word processing, web pages, desktop publishing, presentations, and for TeX, LaTeX, and MathML documents.

MathType is a Campus Site License (limited to specific campuses)

Perpetual license: rights to purchase version upgrades
Available to staff at Rockhampton, Gladstone, Bundaberg, Mackay, Emerald, Noosa
Software may only be installed on machines owned, operated and within the immediate control of the University's faculty and staff.
Home use does not apply.

How do I get the software?

Windows: Self-Install: Start -> Control Panel -> Add/Remove Programs -> Add New Software. The locate MathType and click Add.

Macintosh: Submit a Service Request or contact the ITD Service Centre.
