Email Archiving for Staff

Automated archiving is available with Microsoft Outlook
Enterprise Vault is the name of CQUniversity's email archiving system that is integrated with Microsoft Outlook mailboxes. It automatically archives all staff emails (including attachments) once they are older than 90 days. 

Accessing Archived Emails
When an email is archived (also referred to as stored in the vault) staff can still open the email in Outlook by double-clicking on the item. A user guide is available for how to use Enterprise Vault with Microsoft Outlook.

CQUniversity Staffmail
Staff can log into Staffmail http://staffmail.cqu.edu.au and use their CQUniversity email account when working off-campus. Staffmail has the same functionally as Outlook and enables staff to manage their archived emails.

Setting Up Outlook Anywhere
Outlook Anywhere is another option for staff that wish to access their Outlook mailbox while working off-campus. These instructions outline how staff can use Outlook Anywhere from any location with an internet connection.

Installing Enterprise Vault at Home
Staff that use Microsoft Outlook on their home computer or laptop can install this Outlook Add-in to use Enterprise Vault and access their archived emails while working off-campus.

Note: Enterprise Vault will prompt staff for their username and password the first time they open an archived item. It is important to type this prefix "CQU\" before the username.
