All Staff Mailing Lists

CQUniversity hosts a set of mailing lists intended for use by all staff. Subscription to some of these lists is mandatory, while others are optional.

Mandatory Subscription Lists

List Purpose Authorised Senders
official@lists.cqu.edu.au To enable the distribution of important content of University-wide significance to all CQUniversity staff. A limited list of authorised executive and senior management positions and their nominated delegates are able to post to this mailing list.

Optional Subscription Lists

List Purpose Authorised Senders
general@lists.cqu.edu.au To enable CQUniversity staff to communicate general discussion content, events, and items of interest.
All CQUniversity Staff (provided they are subscribed members of the list)
academic-events@lists.cqu.edu.au To communicate academic events that are relevant or of interest to CQUniversity staff.
All CQUniversity Staff (provided they are subscribed members of the list)
services@lists.cqu.edu.au To communicate service announcements including changes or outages to services provided to CQUniversity staff, such as IT service announcements.
Nominated staff from the Division of Facilities Management and the Information Technology Division
vacancies@lists.cqu.edu.au To communicate new vacant positions available at CQUniversity. Nominated staff from the Division of Human Resources

Which mailing list should I use?

While there are now five staff mailing lists available; the purpose of each list is distinguishable by its topic to discourage the cross-posting of content to more than one mailing list.

Provided staff are subscribed members of the lists, staff can post content to either the general or academic-events mailing lists.


Subscription

For convenience, staff will be subscribed to each of the staff mailing lists upon commencing their employment.

If desired staff can modify their subscription to the optional mailing lists by clicking on the unsubscribe link located in the footer of each email posted to an optional mailing list; or use the link available from each list's page (see table above).
