Stay Wireless when visiting other Universities

EduRoam is a service that enables CQUniversity students and staff to connect to a secure wireless network while visiting other educational institutions around the world. This makes it possible to visit other eduational institutions and connect to the internet, similar as if you were using CQUniversity Roam on campus.

Where is EduRoam available?

EduRoam is available at over 500 locations world wide throughout 30 countries including:
Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Europe, Hong Kong, Japan, and the UK.

Visitors accessing EduRoam at CQUniversity

To access EduRoam, your laptop or mobile device will need to access a wireless network connection using WPA (Wi-Fi Protected Access) drivers.

The following instructions provide information on connecting to EduRoam at CQUniversity.

Using EduRoam at another University

If you are visiting another University, please contact the local IT support staff for their wireless setup instructions. This is best done before arriving at the other University as special clients may need to be installed to enable you to use wireless on that campus.

Students and staff of CQUni will need to log into the network using the username format and CQUniversity password outlined in the table below.

For example, if a student's CQUniversity username was s1234567, the EduRoam username would be:
s1234567@cqu.edu.au
* Enter your regular CQUniversity student login password.
CQUniversity Staff

[enter staff username]@cqu.edu.au

For example, if a your staff username was smithj, the EduRoam username would be:
smithj@cqu.edu.au
* Enter your regular CQUniversity staff login password.
