Lyn completed her Master of Education with Deakin University with a research interest in educational pathways and partnerships that champion access to lifelong learning. Her career began in high schools as a teacher of Music and English, Head of Department, Deputy Principal and Acting Principal.
She was commissioned by Education Queensland to lead a 12 month community consultation for the preferred model of schooling for a proposed new high school before taking up an academic position with CQUniversity in 2002 as the Coordinator for Academic Learning Services on Mackay campus. She has lectured in Education, Communication, Language & Learning, Tertiary Preparation and the Communications Learning Centre.
In 2009, Lyn was seconded to work as a Facilitator on the Pathways Project and is currently employed for CQUniversity as a Business Development Manager for Mining, Resources, Engineering and Infrastructure for regions north of Rockhampton and west to Emerald.

Ruth completed her Master of Business (General Management) with Charles Sturt University in 1996 and has continued in broad educational pursuits since, reflecting a wide range of professional experience in business training and business development in the VET, tertiary, government and private sectors.
She commenced her career in social work at health, welfare and educational settings in South Australia and has developed her career in business training, communications and improvement in the public and industry sector since moving to Gladstone in 1995. Residing for a year in Shanghai, China, Ruth lectured in International Business, Marketing, HRM and Management on behalf of TAFE Queensland.
Ruth is the Business Development Manager at CQUniversity Gladstone Campus with responsibilities for engagement in the Education, Information Technology, Business, Marketing, Project Management, Environmental, Hospitality, Tourism and Law sectors.
Bachelor of Business Communication
Kirsty completed her Bachelor of Business Communication degree at the Queensland University of Technology in 2000 and since then has worked in the education and student market in New York, London, Sydney, Brisbane and now Gladstone.
Kirsty worked in a marketing role for a not-for-profit organisation specialising in GAP year, work, travel and volunteer, programs in their New York, London and Sydney offices. Here she developed her marketing skills by writing for websites, participant handbooks and other marketing materials.
Kirsty then worked as Study Abroad and Exchange Coordinator working with incoming and outgoing students with Macquarie University in Sydney. Upon returning to the UK Kirsty took up a role with the London Buisness School responsible for the marketing and admissions from Asia, Africa and the Middle East for the MBA program.
Her most recent role, before joining CQUniversity, was in international marketing and business development with Griffith University where she managed the marketing and student recruitment in the China and South East Asian regions.
Kirsty works from CQUniversity’s Gladstone campus and is responsible for engagement within the Health, Medical and Human Services from Rockhampton south.

Dorne completed her Social Sciences studies at University of Queensland and since has achieved qualifications in Management, Workplace Training and Assessment and Relationship Education.
She has extensive experience in the Community Services industry and the VET sector.
In the Community sector Dorne has worked as a Parliamentary Electorate Officer , Case Manager with a SkillShare project, Community Development Officer in Local Government, Manager of Centacare Fraser Coast, and as Consultant with Mackay Regional Council of Social Development.
In addition she has been an executive Committee member on a number of community organisations both on the Fraser Coast and in Mackay.
Dorne joined the VET sector in 2000 as the VET Coordinator for the Hervey Bay High school cluster and moved to CQTAFE Mackay in 2003 as Coordinating teacher for Community Services programs. Dorne progressed into Project Manager roles to deliver a VET North Qld Communities of Practice project and a large RPL project to upskill Community and Disability services workers. She also gained experience in the Educational Business Manager role in both Humanities and Engineering & Construction during this time.
In 2008 Dorne moved into the senior role as Educational Business Manager for Engineering & Construction with CQTAFE Mackay, managing the training delivery from Cert II to Advanced Diploma programs, with a focus on Apprenticeship training , in ten trade areas.
Dorne has been in the Business Development Manager role with QCPD at CQUniversity Mackay campus since 2011. Her responsibilities include engagement with Whitsunday Industrial Workforce Development ( WIWD ) group, which is driving the Skills Formation Strategy in the Bowen/Whitsunday region to address workforce development needs resulting from the development of the Abbot Point port facilities, mining growth in Galilee Basin and industrial expansion in the Northern Economic Triangle.
Her portfolio also includes the Health, Medical and Human Services industry sector from Rockhampton north and west to Emerald. Dorne has a special interest in working with RTOs to develop Articulation pathways with CQUniversity.
