Cadetships at CQUniversity

CQUniversity Australia prides itself on its close relationship with industry and the community and is committed to excellence in education and research that directly contributes to advancements in the Central Queensland region.

Cadetship EmployerCadetship programs are one initiative that provides a flexible work-study balance for employees while they complete an undergraduate qualification such as an Associate Degree or Bachelor Degree with the University. Traditionally, Cadetships have been used by industry as a 'key people strategy' to recruit, develop and retain the talent they require to meet future demands of the business and were commonly associated with major employers and skill shortages.

A number of companies offer cadetships, traineeships or work programs that are compatible with part-time study through the flexible, electronic based mode of program delivery offered, for example, by CQUniversity's Associate Degree programs. Cadetships can grow 'cleanskins' into skilled professionals and can help overcome the endemic problem of key personnel 'churn'. By concentrating students in a regionally based and customised program, companies can be assured high quality, current and relevant qualifications to meet the professional skilling requirements of their workforce into the future.

Cadetships also meet the high expectations of high performing students who want to earn while they learn, now. They will attract the candidates who will be the professionals meeting the needs of the mining, resources and energy industries as we approach 2020.

CQUniversity has extensive knowledge and experience in developing and delivering courses and programs suitable for Cadetships in mining, resources, infrastructure and energy industries across the CQUniversity footprint from Noosa's campus in the south, west to Emerald and north to Cairns. It also has the capability to deliver its programs across the nation and internationally.
