Lab Rules

To access the computers and maintain your computer account you must abide with some basic rules. Failure to do so could mean the disabling of your computer account for some time. You must also make yourself familiar with certain requirements.

You must:

  • know how to log on and off correctly
  • know how to use email
  • know how to print your work
  • Keep your home (H:) drive space to a maximum of 100 megabytes
    • Gold Coast Campus 20 megabytes
  • abide by signage in the labs

You must not:

  • use internet chat lines
  • share your username or password with others
  • view internet material which maybe offensive to others
  • attempt to download software and install it on university computers
  • attempt to hack into or modify computer settings or configurations
  • disrupt others by making loud noise
  • use mobile phones in the labs
