Applying to Graduate

How do I register for Graduation?

Students need to ‘Register for Graduation’ to attend a ceremony and/or receive your testamur. You cannot do this until after the Graduation Evaluation Process (GEP) process has occurred.

The GEP is completed in the two weeks after grades are released.

Registration

Academic Dress

Payment

All academic dress items must be pre-ordered and pre-paid prior to your graduation date. You can order and pay for academic dress hire by:

Completing the Graduation Registration Form on CQUcentral, and Paying by EFTPOS on campus or mailing your registration form with payment details. If you cannot access the online form, please contact the Graduation Office for assistance.

Collection and return of academic dress

Graduates must collect their academic dress in the week prior to the ceremony. The dates, times and venues for collection will be mailed to all students, available on CQUcentral and via this information sheet. If you are unable to collect your academic dress yourself on the date specified, please arrange for someone else to collect it on your behalf or contact the Graduation Office for other arrangements.

Return of Academic Dress

Academic dress must be returned to the designated point at the venue as soon as possible after your ceremony concludes.

Testamur Order

Students who do not wish to attend a graduation ceremony may order their testamur by registering online on CQUcentral.

The testamur will be mailed at a cost of $11.00 for postage to an Australian address. A testamur to be mailed to an overseas address will incur a cost of $30.

Graduating at a later date

If you did not attend your graduation ceremony the first time around and would now like to, please contact the Graduation Office at least two months before your desired graduation ceremony date.
