At CQUniversity we offer a variety of personal support to students during your study years. Below outlines the support available to you while you are studying with us here at CQUniversity.
For Students - The major aim of the Careers and Employment Service is to offer a range of resources and guidance to assiste you in your career development and graduate employment. On this site we offer resources on employment opportunities, industry placements, how to get noticed by employers and polishing your job application skills.
For Employers - The CQUniversity Careers and Employment Service provides employers with an excellent and cost effective way to enhance the image of your company and to make CQUniversity students aware of the opportunities you have to offer. The Careers and Employment Service can assist you to secure the best suited and qualified students to fill your graduate, part-time/casual, work experience and vacation employment needs.
The Counselling service of CQUniversity's Student Support Centre aims to assist students with any issues which impact negatively on their studies. Our goals are the success for our students in their studies and the promotion of their personal resilience and wellness.
CQUniversity is committed to ensuring that students with a disability or medical condition are provided with access to a range of support to enhance their academic potential.
The Student Mentor & Leadership Program puts new undergraduate and postgraduate students studying on domestic campuses or by distance education in contact with current CQUniversity students in their second year or higher. Student Mentors provide support and advice to new students during their first year of tertiary studies
The Monitoring Academic Progress (MAP) process provides early intervention to those students who are at risk of making unsatisfactory academic progress.
CQUniversity Widening Participation team aims to encourage participation in tertiary studies by high school students from groups traditionally under represented in higher education.
CQUniversity is dedicated to creating a safe and supportive atmosphere for all students with a zero tolerance approach to bullying and discrimination. As part of this we have implemented an Ally Program to promote acceptance and understanding for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex and queer (LGBTIQ) students. This program is for ALL students, whether you identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender or not.
